**Mushroom Foraging Class – Learn the Basics!**

Forage wild mushrooms and enhance your hunter-gatherer skills! In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn to identify easily distinguishable edible mushrooms native to the region, discover their preferred habitats, and understand important equipment and etiquette for foraging. With prime foraging season underway in the PNW, this is the perfect opportunity to learn about chanterelles and more!

Led by Matt Houghton, the owner/operator of Valley of Giants Nature Tours, who brings decades of foraging and wilderness guiding experience, this class will enhance your knowledge of the forest’s offerings. Enjoy the convenience of our full kitchen and bar, which will be open during the class.

**Wetland Wander at Edith Moulton Park – August 20th**

Feeling grateful for the natural beauty of Lake Washington? This event offers a chance to learn about the vibrant plants and animals of the wetland ecosystem, the impacts of invasive species, and the historical significance of the area for both wildlife and humans.

**Registration is essential as space is limited to 30 participants.**
